How does MojoTip work?

MojoTip uses QR code technology – customers simply scan the code with their smartphone, tip direct or select the desired staff member from the list, and can give a tip in just a few seconds. Payment is made conveniently via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or with a credit/debit card. Fast, easy, and completely cashless!

How can I use and present my QR code?

Every MojoTip user receives a personal QR code that is displayed in the app on their smartphone and can be shown directly to the customer.
Additionally, we offer various presentation options for the QR code – both free and paid: from stickers in different sizes, table displays, to high-quality plastic cards with attractive designs. If the standard solutions don’t fit, we can also create custom designs tailored specifically to your business or venue.

Are there any fees for tipping?

Yes, a 10% transaction fee applies to the customer’s tip amount – with a minimum of €0.35. This fee covers the costs of payment processing and platform maintenance.

How do I know when I’ve received a tip?

Tips are immediately credited to your MojoTip wallet, and you receive a real-time notification.
All information about earnings, amounts, and dates is clearly displayed in the app – all in one convenient place.

How can a customer win €1,000?

Every customer who tips via MojoTip automatically gets the chance to win €1,000! After the payment is confirmed, a “Win 1000 €” button appears. When tapped, the customer can spin a wheel for a chance to win the cash prize. It’s a fun and motivating way to encourage tipping!

How can I withdraw my received tips?

Users can transfer their collected tips to their bank account. Simply add an IBAN account in the MojoTip app and click “Withdraw” – the money will be transferred immediately. A one-time withdrawal fee of €0.50 applies.

Are tips taxable?

Tax regulations for tips vary from country to country. In some countries, tips are taxable; in others, they are not.
To help you stay compliant with local tax authorities, we’ve built a tax settings feature directly into the app. Our goal is to make it as simple as possible for you.

You must enter your personal tax rate in the app. Once your rate is entered, you can choose one of two options:

  1. Tax Calculation – The app will show you exactly how much tax you’ll need to pay on your own.

  2. Tax Locking – The tax amount will be automatically separated from your payout and held in a locked balance. You can unlock it at any time, but we recommend doing so when it’s time to file your taxes.

That way, you always know exactly how much tax you’ll need to pay based on your input.

FEES AND PAYMENTS

All users agree that all payments will be processed by a third party licensed payment processor. MojoTip is only the Platform which connects service workers with the customers.

After the Customer is transferred to the third party payment services, the risk of loss or damages will pass on to the Customer and/or third party service provider. The Customer’s online credit or debit card payments to the payment receiver will be handled and processed by a third party licensed payment service provider and none of the sensitive data in relation to your payment will be stored on or used by MojoTip. MojoTip shall not be liable for any payment issues or other disputes that arise due to the third party payment services. MojoTip may change the third party payment service provider from time to time.

All users agree to pay any and all transaction fees for payments made through our Platform.

MojoTip expressly reserves the right to change fee structure at any time, and such changes or modifications shall be posted online at this Site and effective immediately without need for further notice to the Platform users.

USER ONBOARDING AND KYC

KYC processing for MojoTip platform members is provided by a third party licensed company. MojoTip is not responsible for storage and compliance of KYC data.

To onboard employees, a partnership agreement between MojoTip and the business is required, and MojoTip will provide this agreement for signing.

APPLICABLE LAW

These terms of use, its subject matter and its formation, are governed by Lithuanian law. You and we both agree that the courts of Lithuania will have exclusive jurisdiction.

REFUND POLICY

At MojoTip, we are committed to ensuring the satisfaction of our customers and users. This refund policy applies to all cashless tips made through our platform:

– Refund Request: If you wish to request a refund, please do so within 14 days from the date the cashless tip was made. Simply reach out to our customer service team at support@mojotip.com.

– Criteria for Refunds: Refunds may be granted under the following conditions:

    > The tip was made by mistake.

    > The amount of the tip was incorrect.

– Refund Process: Once your refund request is approved, the funds will be returned to your bank account or the payment method used within 7-10 business days. Please note that the refunded amount will be deducted from the MojoTip user who received the tip.

– Fees: Transaction fees, as determined by the payment service provider, will apply only to the MojoTip user who received the tip when processing refunds, based on the payment method used.

DISCLAIMER

Content creators are responsible for understanding and complying with each platform’s community guidelines, terms of service, and monetization policies. If a content creator’s account is restricted, suspended, banned, demonetized, or otherwise affected due to their use or promotion of MojoTip, MojoTip shall bear no responsibility for such actions.

We will collect the following information: Your name, address, and date of birth; Your email address, phone number; password and other registration information; Identification documents (for example, your passport or personal ID), bank account details, copies of any documents you have provided for identification purposes and any other information you provide to prove you are eligible to use our services; Records of our discussions, if you contact us or we contact you (including records of phone calls); Your image in photo form. KYC and AML data will be processed by a third party licensed service provider. MojoTip is not responsible for storage and compliance of KYC and AML data. MojoTip is integrated with a licensed KYC and AML service provider through a direct, secure and encrypted connection.

Information from your device whenever you use our website or app, we collect the following information: Technical information, including the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, your log-in information; Information about your visit, including the links you have clicked on, through and from our site (including date and time), services you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling and clicks), and methods used to browse away from the page; Information on transactions (for example, payments into your account), including the date, time, amount, currencies, beneficiary details, IP address of sender and receiver, sender’s and receiver’s name and registration information and the payment method used.
